Description
The elk is one of the largest species within the deer family in North America. Elk can mostly be found in forest and meadows close to the edge of forests. Male elk have antlers which are shed each year and grow larger with additional points. Every fall the males will bugle which is a loud series of vocalizations during the rut/mating season. The bugling is a dominance or battle call to other.

LOL....I was a little confused when you called this elk a ram but I figured what the heck. I'll take the wonderful feature no mater what you call him. :-)
