In between the many showers of a Portland, OR stormy spring and before it got too dark I was able to get a neat view of the historic St. Johns Bridge in urban North Portland Oregon. The sunset was complete but there was stille enough light to still see the infrastructureon this wonderful landmark in the beautiful Pacific Northwest .
The St. Johns Bridge is in the St. Johns area of North Portland, Oregon spans the Willamette River. The suspension bridge spans the Willamette River and was dedicated on June 13, 1931.
The bridge has two 408 feet tall Gothic towers, and a total length of 2,067 feet. The surrounding Cathedral Park was named after the Gothic Cathedral-like of the bridge towers.
