Description
The Great Grey Owl is the largest owl being 24 to 33 inches, averaging 72 inces, a wingspan of 60 inches and can weigh 1 to 4 pounds The males are usually smaller than females which is common for owls.
They are diurnal meaning they hunt during the day. The yellow eyes are also a sign that these birds hunt during the day. The darker colored eyes of owls indicate they are nocturnal hunters.
