Pacific City is located along the Pacific Ocean in the state of Oregon and spans the Nestucca River with about half the city's area being behind Nestucca Bay. There is a large haystack rock along with Cape Kiwanda which is where this photo was taken in late August close to midnight when the Milky Way appears close to the haystack and the cape.
This image was created by spinning burning steel wool at the beach. It can be hazardous so a lot of research is needed to protect yourself and the area around you from catching on fire. The beach is an ideal place especially standing in the water.

It is an incredibly beautiful world out there. Our goal is to try to capture some of it in our images. Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest we never lack for places to shoot. But never pass up the chance to visit all the many other beautiful places this world has to offer. Along with all the wonderful creatures, large and small.
