Description
The Dahlia, Asteraceae dicotyledonous is is a summer tuberous perennial flower that comes in many shapes and colors which is native to Mexico. This plant is a species which also includes the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia. There are 42 species of dahlia, with hybrids commonly grown as garden plant. It comes into its blooming season in late summer when it can be very hot. What is remarkable is the size. Some blooms can be a large as a dinner plate.
