Description
The daisy, Asteraceae has some 33,000 species names in 1,911 lists. and 13 subfamilies. It is distributed worldwide except Antarctica and the extreme Arctic. The middle of the flower is known as the central disk, which houses the disk florets. The petals are called the ray florets or rays. The usual colors are a yellow center with white petals. But due to the many, many species they can come in a variety of colors.
