Description
This image was taken from the Jonsrud Viewpoint just outside Sandy Oregon. From this viewpoint you get wonderful views of Mount Hood and the Sandy River Valley, which in the fall has fabulous fog. This area below the viewpoint is also called the Devil's Backbone, which is a ridge named by Barlow Trail pioneers.
The viewpoint was named after Phil Jonsrud, a local historian in the city of Sandy. The Johnsrud family were instrumental in paving the offramp at the viewpoint.
