It was an absolutely glorious day as the fog began to slowly lift and the sun rays were beaming down everywhere.
The Japanese Maple, Acer palmatum, is also known as red emperor maple, palmate maple or Japanese maple. It is a deciduous shrub that can grow to 20 to 33 feet. It may have multiple trunks that join close to the ground and its canopy usually forms a dome. It is a favorite in the fall when the leaves turn a reddish-orange.
