Description
The Friesian is a horse breed from the Netherlands. They are a very large and stocky breed but for their size are very agile and move very elegantly for their size. In the middle ages they were used widely as war horses as they could handle the weight of knights in full amour. In more recent times they are used in carriages and under saddle.
