Description
The Nautilus shell is divided into chambers. The cephalopod that inhabits the shell can pull into the shell and close off the opening. The outer area of the shell is a white matte layer with the inside beign a beautiful white irridescent. The innermost area of the shell is a pearlescent bluish grey. As the nautilus ages it creates new, larger chambers, and moves its growing body into the larger space, closing off the vacated chamber.
