Description
The Space Needle was built for the 1962 World's Fair and is located in the Seattle Center. It is an observation tower which also has a rotating restaurant called the SkyCity Restaurant.. It is a well known landmark of the Pacific Northwest and during the World's Fair it had over 2.3 million visitors.
It is 605 ft. high and is built to withstand winds of up to 200 mph and earthquakes of up to 9.0 magnitude. It also has 25 lightning rods.
