Description
Knowing the northern lights were a good possibility this night I head to the other side of Mt Hood to Shaniko. Shaniko is a wonderful little ghost town located in Wasco County, Oregon, United States, on U.S. Route 97. As of the 2010 census the population was 36. It was a wonderful night of shooting with friends!
I set one of my camera up and let is fire off continuously starting at 9:12 until 12:03 when I thought it had ran out of batteries. Which it hadn't but I still ended up with 600 images to make this star trail. The aurora did show up but just as a glow as all the images are stacked to create the star trails.

Nice and interesting art piece. Shaniko is a fun place to shoot but I haven't thought to do night photography there. You have done a very nice job with this. Keep up the good work.
