Description
Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon in a small gorge of basalt. The falls drops in two major steps, the upper falls drops 542 feet and the lower falls of 69 feet which makes the total height of the waterfall as 620 feet. A foot trail winds up to the top of the lower falls and continues to the top..
This was taken very late in the day during a heatwave and on a weekend. It is next to impossible to get a shot when there is nobody on the bridge even at the lateness of the day. This waterfall is the most visited waterfall in Oregon.

Congratulations on your feature in the Fine Art America Group "Images That Excite You!"
Randy Rosenberger
Congratulations! Your artwork recently submitted to our group WFS, has been chosen to be featured on our homepage with other members of our family of friends and fine artists. Thanks for sharing the beauty. It is a pleasure to promote beautiful works of art such as this, within our family of fine artists.

Thank Randy. This is especially a favorite now as due to our 2017 Labor Day Fire that swept through our beautiful Columbia River Gorge we have lost so much beauty. Firefighters fought hard at this spot to save the lodge and last I heard they were successful. Thanks again, your addition to the group is truly wonderful.

Saw it for the first time this summer. Excellent capture. - Mike (V)

Thanks....It is one of the main draws in the Columbia River Gorge and everyone needs to see it. However, I love the multitude of little falls and cascades better. Much less crowded.
