Description
The Tilikum bridge is fitted with LED lights that will change colors depending on the temperature, depth and flow of the river. It currently is the largest bridge in the US that is only open to pedestrians, bicycles and the transit train.
Construction began in 2011 and was opened on September 12, 2015. The name Tilikum comes from the local Chinook Native American's word for people. The Tilikum Crossing was the first new bridge to be opened across the Willamette River in the Portland metropolitan area since 1973.
