Description
The Japanese Maple is a plant native to Japan, China, Korea and SE Russia. It's scientific name is Acer palmatum. This maple is grown worldwide for it's attractive forms and spectacular colors throughout the year. My favorite time of the year is when the fall colors make the leaves burst in shades of reds.
It can attain from 20 to 30 ft, and in rare cases it has reached up to 50 ft. It can have multiple trunks usually joining close to the ground and twisting in very unique and beautiful shapes.
