This is a mare named Chenelle. There is some controversy around the naming of these wild horses. The people who spend a large amount of time watching them have given them these names and it seems to help keep track of the horses lives. Others do not like the giving wild animals names as it takes away the sense of wildness. Whichever side of the controversy one is on there is no taking away their beauty.
It is an incredibly beautiful world out there. Our goal is to try to capture some of it in our images. Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest we never lack for places to shoot.
