This is a composite of four images of an eagle lifting off from the oyster beds with his catch of a sculpin which is also called bullhead. This is a fun but very long task consisting of several layers and masks.
There was much aerial fights and many swoops down to the water to catch fish. Usually the eagles are stealing from the many herons but on occasion the eagle will grab it's own catch such as this one did.
It is an incredibly beautiful world out there. Our goal is to try to capture some of it in our images. Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest we never lack for places to shoot. But never pass up the chance to visit all the many other beautiful places this world has to offer. Along with all the wonderful creatures, large and small. We have also been blessed with many wonderful photographic adventures to some awesome places which we are happy to share with you.
