The bronze sculpture called the Charging Bull, also known as the Wall Street Bull or the Bowling Green Bull is on Broadway just north of Bowling Green in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City. It weighs 7,100 pounds and stands 11 feet tall and measures 16 feet long. The bull symbolizes the aggressive financial optimism and prosperity. It has been a popular tourist destination that draws thousands of people a day since it was placed at this location in 1989.
