Artist's Description
In approximately 1959 or 1960 Reverend Frederick Kates passed out about 200 copies of Desiderata to his congregation at Old Saint Paul's Church, Baltimore. The text was widely used mostly in hippie type posters in the 1960s and 1970s. It remains a very powerful life lesson for all who read it.
