Description
I spent a wonderful day photographing in the fog at the Japanese Gardens in Portland Oregon one beautiful autumn day. It seemed that the fog would never lift which was great as all the fall colors in the gardens had a beautiful ethereal feel. And the colors were at full peak. Then like the heavens woke up and the sun started shining through the trees. There were beautiful sunbeams everywhere. I was frantically shooting thinking it would not last long. Little did I know that this wonderful gift nature had given me was to last and last and last. The sunbeams were everywhere for at least an hour. It was the most incredible think I've ever seen. Got to love the Pacific Northwest for these wonderful visions.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
