Description
In late spring the area around Rowena Crest is covered in wildflowers, starting first with mostly balsamroot and later lupine take over. This area is in Mayer State Park which is located in Columbia River Gorge, close to Rowena, Oregon in Wasco County on the historic Highway 30. From Rowena Crest is the Tom McCall Wildlife Preserve. It consists of 271 acres is located on the Rowena Plateau.
